Truro Minor Football Association Code of Ethics

The Coaches of the TMFA believe that Citizenship and Sportsmanship are both important aspects in the development an individual. Therefore, we set high standards of conduct for our players, both on and off the field. It is the responsibility of each member of the TMFA to adher to the following guidelines:

1. To be aware of and comply by all rules and regulations as set forth by the coaching staff, TMFA, NSMFL, FMS.

2. To do his\her utmost to promote good sportsmanship in victory, as well as in defeat, in all sports activities and especially in competition.

3. To regard decisions of referees and other officials with utmost respect and without an improper emotional display that would reflect against the individual or the team.

4. To treat visiting teams and officials with respect.

5. When playing away, to act in a manner that will reflect a high degree of sportsmanship as individuals and as a team.

6. To set a high standard of personal cleanliness in apparance and in habits.

7. To maintain a level of effort in their studies and conduct throughout their school that is deemed acceptable to both their coaches and the teaching staff of their school.

8. To treat other members of their team with respect , both on and off the field.

9. While representing the team in any way, to behave in a manner which will not bring dishonor to themselves or the team.
